Fur Tanning & Dressing

Ethically sourced from Canadian trappers

At Fur The North, we pride ourselves on ethical sourcing and sustainable harvesting of this beautiful, 100% renewable natural resource. All furs are ethically sourced from Canadian trappers or sustainably harvested by Fur The North in the rich forest of the North Shore of Lake Huron in Ontario, Canada.

Our tanning procedure is also ecofriendly. Our process includes environmentally friendly and biodegradable products, energy efficient machinery and equipment as well as a water recycling process. We ensure minimal environmental impact without compromising quality.

When you choose to tan your hides with us, you can be sure that attention to detail and quality workmanship goes in to each and every hide. Hides are dry tanned, supple and ready for garment making or wall hanging.
